The Tamara sets painterly blooms, roses, pansies and berries against a ground that deepens from blue at the bodice to black at the hem. It is dark florals done properly on a formal gown: moody rather than murky.
Fine straps and a straight neckline keep the top minimal. The skirt flares from the knee into a floor grazing sweep, and the fade from one shade to the other happens slowly enough that you notice it second, not first.
